Tailings Unweighting for Mining in Utah

The purpose of this project was to remove 830,000 cubic yards of material off an unstable slope and place it on the impoundment to remove the potential issue of material sliding off the side of the slope. During the project, some changes were made to include the capping of specific areas of the impoundment and building a surcharge pad for a future pump station. The project also included the replacement of 2 HDPE lines (8″ and 10″) that ran through the project cut.
